Picture it! Da Bronx, 1978, a young boy of 8 wakes up Christmas morning to open his very first home video game. A Telstar Arcade complete with Car Racing, Shoot Out, and Pong. Yeah, it was the 1978 comparison to today PS3 and Wii. My how we've progressed.

Oh and yeah, that boy was me :)

Ice Skating

Ice skating with the pups was a fun time. I wish everyone got out on the ice but for those who did, it was fantastic. Those who didnt, it was nice to see the support and interact. David and I did pretty well and David only fell once (I didnt fall at all). He deserved it. Yes, he deserved it and here's why.

Some girl fell in front of us and was apologizing so nicely as she was getting back up. I looked at her and said "Its ok, it happens". Davids reply? "Not to me it doesnt" as he kept on skating. So yeah! He deserved it. I only think mean things like skating up along side a little kid and whispering in their ear "If you fall, youre mommy wont love you anymore".

Fun times.....

Our tree

Our tree
Originally uploaded by desp1969
After several years of no tree or decoration, we bought a small 4 1/2 ft tree. I bought way too much in decorations but I'd rather have too much than too little.

It finally feels like my first Christmas in SF. Several things held me back. First, after getting rid of all my decorations when I moved out here, I wasn't ready to start from scratch. The second was the living environment. With haunted mansion/Nightmare Before Christmas enslaving our apartment like a bubble of gloom, it really didn't feel very joyous.

So our tree is small and will grow in the years to come. Its nice having holiday spirit back.

This weekend, ice skating with the pups at Yurba Beuna and Sunday Karaoke at the Mint for Ricks Birthday. Should be a lot of fun. Most important, Ill see David after 2 weeks.
