Folsom Weekend So Far

&tJonathan arrived Wednesday and we hit the Castro for a few cocktails. Lonnie arrived Thursday for another evening of cocktails. We originally planned on attending Kink at the Powerhouse and even dressed for it. When it got to be about 9, we decided we already drank quite a bit and stayed here drinking till midnight. I was drunk when I got to work at 6.

Friday I took a half day so I was done at 10am. Met up with Lonnie and his friend Nome for brunch, Stonestown Mall, Union Square, Metreon, and finally Mr S (basically all over the city). We hit the Powerhouse early to avaoid a line and left for the Eagle when it got too crowded.

We closed the Eagle and came home....

Saturday David came up and I hosted a party for the pups. There were about 15 in attendance. Master Richard, spunky, chomper, brue, pup_ajax, throbbin, pigpupsf, andreal, buddy147 and several others that I enjoy hanging out with. Master Richard brought some toys with him. I got to play with his ultra violet wand. Although it was fun using it on David and chomper, I especially liked the buzz it made and the pretty color. He did some birthay spankings for his birthday and applied a zipper to chomper and

David also got his first taste of a single tail. He's definitely a bigger man than I am since I ran like a girl as soon as the whip cracked loudly next to my ear.

Finally we started to head to End Up for the Raging Stallion porn party. The line was 3 blocks long, we waited about 45 minutes in line before saying fuck it. Lonnie. David and I headed to the Eagle. I hate lines, busy bars, where you have to pay top dollar for poor drinks, after fighting the crowd. The Eagle was a good choice.

Could I be any gayer?

Wood type: tulip
Length: 11 inches
Core: Gryffon Feather

get your own wand!

Tulip:
Tulip is a very feminine wood, and often chooses females or those with a natural caring nature, often considered to have a natural motherly personality. Tulip wands are excellent for shield and protection charms, as well as comforting magic.

Phoenix Feather:
The Phoenix Feather comes from the tail feathers of a Phoenix, and is especially good with fire or defensive magic, as well as healing magic. This may be due largely to the healing properties Phoenixes have.

Irony

The irony is that for the past 2 years I raised the most selling raffle tickets for the AIDS Emergency Fund, in the SF Leather Daddys boy contest, and the reason I didn't win was because I didn't know the charity it was founded by.

The worst part is, that was a question asked by a friend of mine. It really had nothing to do with my fund raising abilities. Still I understand the downfall, I just think its funny the irony that the question that killed me, was by a friend, and directed to the cause that I raised a significant amount of money for.

A bit sad this morning

So Im a bit sad this morning that I didnt win last night. Im trying to place blame, as to where I went wrong or where the other person "went right", and just cant put my finger on it.

The biggest thing that runs through my mind is that I feel like I was set up to fail (but proved certain people wrong). Not by my friends who were judges but by the current SF Leather Daddy and his partner. I lost by 3 points.

I know that they need to promote the event, and get contestants, however when I got to the contest, what threw me for a bit of a loop after they had continuously said they thought I would fit great and pretty much begged me to run for them, was that they had a friend in mind that they played the same way they did me.

So the biggest question I have since I dont know them that well, is if they thought I would be good to get up there because they thought I was a sure loser to the other person. Who knows.

What I do find happiness in, is that once again, I had a ton of support. I raised the most (almost 2/3 and almost $600)again in raffle ticket sales and that to me is what the event is all about. I had people pulling me left and right to buy tickets from me, and throwing money in the bucket just because they wanted me to win. I was definitely the popular of the 2 which made me feel great. It also showed them that I *was visible, can do what I intend to do, and just how many people they didnt realize I knew.

It also showed me the kind of support I have within the community and how much Ive finally been accepted here after 3 years. It will definitely be interesting to see how the rest of my life in SF plays out. After only 3 years, I think Ive built a great amount of friends, am visible in the community, and likedloved by many.

Thank you everyone for being there and supporting me. I appreciate it and love you too. A special thanks to my boyfriend David who helped with the ticket sales, backed me up on this and really showed more support than anyone could ask. I love you.
