So I felt bad this weekend. A good friend of mines mom passed away while I was in Chicago and my body needed a weekend to recover so I didnt go to the service. Although I really wanted to be there and support him, my body just didnt want to leave SF even to head to Sacramento.
On another note, it was a fun weekend here in SF. It felt good to be home in my surroundings and drinking at my favorite watering holes. Thursday was Edge, Friday was Powerhouse, Saturday was Daddys 440 Castro, and Sunday was a combo of Eagle beer bust and Daddys 440.
The amazing part of the weekend was a bit of fate I think. To back up to an older blog, there was a guy I really liked, who admitted to me that he had a crush on me for a while. I in turn always thought he was cute when we'd pass by each other on the streets. He was also the one who had the boyfriend that I knew.
I was out with John (as I was drinking most of the weekend), and we went to breakfast at Orphan Andys. We were going to head to Stonestown and even I dont know why I was in the mood to go out there. We went underground to wait for the outbound M only to find out it wasnt running and there would be a shuttle above. We waited about a minute for the shuttle and decided to hit Union Square instead so back underground waiting for an Inbound train.
After several minutes down there, we decided just to give up on the effort and head home. As we were coming up, bamm! There he was walking by, just at the right time. The one I really like. Apparently he and his boyfriend broke up, and although I felt bad for him, I couldnt help to feel some excitement for me. We hung out drinking all day, came back to my place, watched a few episodes of Zim, took a nap together, and ran into each other later Saturday night. We hung out all day Sunday as well, just geeking out and talking about Buffy and Zim. We also brought more of the geek side out of John Gizmo. Over all it was a great weekend and it was actually nice to get to know David more. Ive been wanting to do that for a while and I think if anything we will be good friends. Im not expecting more but can certainly hope.
