January 1-January 20
The holidays were long and with New Years past us, things have been pretty good here. Still busy with Life, but I think I've come to the conclusion it would be boring if I stopped living.
There hasn't been too much worthy of talking about lately. I've gotten back into my normal routine of work and play.
I have been going South of Market more often and finding a much better time than I remembered. Seems the places which once left me standing alone and quiet have now some how transformed themselves into the fun times of knowing a few people when I go out.
The past couple of Saturdays I even had fun at the Powerhouse. The place I used to hate has now become fun. The bartenders there seem to be more pleasant toward me than the last time I was there.
Perhaps hair bleached blond and leather don't mix but the place is stand and model. The place is for "pretty" leather men. Anyway, I've been enjoying it as of late.
Josh has been spending more time lately focusing on making friends. At first I was a bit jealous and feeling a bit neglected until he explained it all to me. I came to the conclusion he is in exactly the same place I was when I first moved here. The big difference is I was free tp go out and do my own thing. He hasn't had that chance since finishing school. He's been focused on business and making money. Now hopefully one will lead to the other.
We have also talked more about our friend Bill and have decided he may be the one person who has entered our life that we both feel attracted to and comfortable with. Bill seems to like both of us and with that ll have a date tomorrow for dinner and a movie.
Tonight we are planning to go to a small party being hosted by the owner of Zubio. Josh may have mentioned David Palmer in his posting but for those of you who haven't read his blog in a while, David is considered the father of chair massage and Josh has been working for him for about a month now (3 months training before Zubio finally opened).
I'm a bit nervous about it since I have only met him once (as well as a couple of othe employees) and he will also have some family there. Blessed news came when Josh emailed and said he only wanted to stay an hour. That works for me.
As for parties go, last Saturday was Josh C and his boyfriend Daves housewarming (not to be confused with Josh A aka my bf). It was fun, good food and it was nice to see them as well as his other friends). I do really like kt who always smiles and is really pleasant towards me. I really wish I had more of a chance to get to know her but sometimes finding common ground and time to talk is tough around many people.
Finally work which has been better since vacation. I really enjoy training and have received many compliments on my abilities. I can't boast enough about the people I work with and how much I love working here. The other place in Oakland is now ancient history.
The band marches forward.....
