Spring has begun in March
So a quick recap of the weekend and some thoughts Ive had. First of all, I remembered two things I used to love in Rochester. First is the sweet smell of freshly cut grass in the summer time. I got to thinking about this because we were walking around last night and someone mentioned the smell of flowers.
I realized, we always smell flowers here. The weather never gets cold enough where the air gets stale. With that, we also dont get that smell of recognition when the nice weather breaks. I kind of miss coming off of winter and smelling the first lawn thats just been mowed. Guess it just doesnt mean as much without the winter to back it up.
The other thing I miss is Tara's corned beef and cabbage. I know I have probably lost my mind but you really couldnt get a better deal. $4 or $5 for dinner on St Patricks Day. What could be nicer?
Hopefully Ill find someplace to have my corn beef and cabbage and when I do, Ill let you know.
So this brings me to the weekend. Friday night I hung out with my friend Logan for a bit. We met up at the Mixx and stayed there most of the night. Being up since 3am, with out a nap, I was home by midnight.
Last night I met a friend out for coffee. Actually a friend of my friend Ricks, but ran into Brian online in the chat room and being that he was looking to get out and I was looking to get out, I said "why not go get coffee?".
Strangest thing happened while on my way. I hear someone calling to me and look up. Some guy (whom I dont know), says his friend wants to take my picture. *chuckle*.... who in their right mind would want a picture of me lol. Anyway, I dont care who takes my picture (I am curious as to why) so I let him. I never did find out what his intentions were but hey, its just a picture. He complimented me by saying I was cute, and had a nice smile. I thanked him and moved on.
So I met Brian at Sweet Inspirations which I havent been to in a while. You may remember it as being one of my favorite places from visiting almost 2 years ago and when we first moved out here. I like the place however its becoming "all the way on the other side of Castro". God, SF people can get lazy and Im beginning to join them I think.
Rick called while we were having coffee and joined us there. He had just got done work and was hungry so we all walked around Castro to find him a place to eat. He got food at this fast food Chinese place, and we went and had *more* coffee at Starbucks. Went down to Tower Video (seems to be the routine when walking around Castro) and Rick decided to go get a salad from Chow. Brian and I went to Badlands (my first time at the video bar. Just not my style) and I survived. We walked around Castro a bit more and finally I came home.
Today Im debating on beer bust or not and lunch with another friend. Tomorrow is work and can I just say HOORAY! 3 weeks left.
Peace out for now!!!!
