I really need to update more often lol
So let me start with the weekend. Very relaxing, sunshine, about 70 degrees, and the weather says it should be like this all week. So, needless to say, I pulled myself away from the computer a little and went outside to enjoy it.
Friday night I hung out with my friend Rick. We went to the Pilsner and the Mix. Ran into a few gay.comers and pretty much just hung out. I was a bit nervous because I had never seen Rick get drunk but like usual, I went along with him. When I left, he was heading back down to meet his boyfriend Scott who was stuck at work until midnight. Ok, so now it was 1am *chuckle*. Im sure Scott was hanging out with his fellow coworkers at Chow or next door at the Pilsner. I really need to call Rick and make sure all's ok, but I just havent had the time.
Saturday I went to brunch with my roomie. We went to the Crepe Vine. Nothing special, just plain, ordinary food. I came home, napped, and went back out for a walk. I ended up at Safeway and bought a few minor groceries to tie me over for a bit. We watched the Exorcist: The Beginning which I was pretty disappointed in. Not so scary like the others. Chatted online, and to bed early. I figured Sunday was going to be nice so Id save myself for that.
I also talked to my friend Jason who isnt going to be able to come visit till May or June. His boss I guess is being a dick and wont let him take his vacation in April like we had originally talked about. Hopefully it will settle down but I think we were both a little disappointed.
Sunday I woke up early and went for a walk at 6:30am hoping to get a picture of the sunrise on the city. Well there was just enough fog to ruin any picture I would have taken so I came home.
Around 11, I went to meet my friend Luis at Starbucks on 18th. He was heading there to meet some bears and asked if I wanted to tag along so I said sure. Anything to get out again on a nice day. I hung out there until one bear about 6'4 and about 350 pounds started trying to make me his cuddle toy. At that point I decided it was time to venture on my own.
I sat at the corner of Market and Castro, watching people come and go. What a city full of life. So many people wandering around, enjoying the day. So many queers getting on the Muni and off.
I walked a bit more around the neighborhood and then back home for a nap. I took about a 2 hour nap and called my friend Jay and made plans to head to the Eagle for beer bust.
It was a good time but packed. Too many people turned out on the nice day and it kind of reminded me of the Forum on barnight. The only difference is that it was a Sunday afternoon and a tamer crowd lol. I guess most Sundays are like that at the Eagle.
Needless to say I was drunk, and home in bed by 7 but I had a great time lol.
Today was a good day for a change. No hard feelings between anyone and pretty much a smooth ride. We got the info about outplacement training on Wednesday and Friday. Basically they will teach us how to make a resume and interview and all that crap. Im just in it for the time away from work, not to mention it saves me 5.10 a day on Bart commutes.
Other news, my treo 650 works great and Im loving it. Just wish I got more phone calls lol. I would really love to figure out how to get more ringtones on there, so if anyone is listening and perhaps knows a way, Id appreciate the info.
Im also having trouble with my email on there. Seems to connect and send messages but doesnt receive. It goes through the process without errors and shows the status bar but doesnt download anything. Any info anyone has on that would be appreciated as well.
So thats about it. Everything is going great and Im looking forward to getting the next 3 1/2 weeks over and done with. Next chapter of the journal will be my first SF unemployment. Stay tuned. :-)
